It's All About Paint Balling

Here is a bit more information to bring you up to speed if you have never experienced the joy of paint ball before.

What is Paint Balling?

Paint Balling is a whole load of fun, it involves team based games using markers (guns) firing marble size balls of paint at each other. The balls of paint are made with a shell and 'paint' (water with food colouring) in the centre. The balls are fired from markers using compressed air. When the ball hits something hard they explode, leaving wet paint.

Using rules set by the supervising marshals, scenario games are played - such as "Capture the Flag".

Safety

Safety of our customers is our top priority.

All our staff are all Qualified First Aiders.

To ensure your safety we give a clear safety briefing at the start of your session. During game play if anyone breaks one of the rules that are set to keep all safe, we stop the game and re-brief on the arising issue. If a problem still priests after this, the person(s) responsible for the rule break will be asked to leave - with no refund. 

If all participants stick within the rules set to ensure safety - everyone will have a great time.

Realistically the worst that can happen is a few small bruises - to boast about later!

Paint balling world wide has a fantastic safety record, long may this continue.

Age Limit

To take part in paint balling you must be aged 11 and up. Between the age of 11 and 16 where you are classed as a minor, you must have permission to take part from your parent or guardian.

Please follow the below link if you are within this age group, then print of the consent form. The form must be completed by your parent or guardian and taken with you on the day.

Equipment

At West Coast Paint Ball, we pride ourself on having some of the most modern equipment around.

We have 30 Markers, all the latest edition Tippmann Custom 98, a solid and reliable semi automatic marker capable of firing 3 ball a second!

Unlike many other centres, we are very proud to be using environmentally friendly compressed air to power the markers.

Fitness for Play

You don't need to be a fitness fanatic.

If you can walk for 20min without having a heart attack and can duck!!! - You will be fine.

What to Wear and Bring for your Day

We will provide an overall that will keep most of the paint and mud off, but some mud always manages to get though some how!

Generally if you wear older clothes that you don't mind getting wet of muddy, other than that the more you wear the more padding you will have to protect from cross fire!!

Foot Ware. - Some of the game area does get muddy, hiking boot of old trainers will be fine.

Gloves are a good idea, nothing too bulky. if you don't have any - gloves will alway be available for sale at the centre.

What Happens on the Day?

Once your whole group has arrived, any out standing payment should be made.

You will be asked to sign a disclaimer (Agreeing that if you don't stick to the rules for safe play, then you will be held responsible and asked to leave with no refund).

Paper work out the way, your group will all be issued with -

• Overalls
• A Face Mask
• Paint balls - the number depends on the package paid for
• A battle pack - to store extra paint to reload

There will be breaks during your session, giving you a chance to get your breath back, grab a drink and if your running low buy more paint.
